Meet Robi | The Interactive Robotic Companion that Speaks Manglish

Robi, possibly the first ever robot able to speak Manglish, arrived in Malaysia last Friday with the launch of the Robi partwork magazine and online store by DeAgostini. Robi is a fusion of sophisticated design and advanced Japanese technology that was designed to provide interactive bonding experiences for the entire family. Providing an in-depth understanding of how Robi works, an educational magazine along with instructions and model parts, can be collected over the course of 70 issues, or ordered online. Families and robotics enthusiasts can look forward to assembling Robi with their own hands.

From 10 to 12 March, families can learn more about Robi’s cute and amusing behaviours at a roadshow in One Utama Shopping Centre. Professor Tomotaka Takahashi, the creator of Robi, will be on site to introduce Robi to visitors during the roadshow. To celebrate Robi’s debut in Malaysia, there will be a special performance featuring 100 Robi robots in a synchronized dance. Building on the theme of “ASSEMBLE ROBI, UNITE A FAMILY”, the event will also provide opportunities for families to get acquainted with Robi through hands-on experiences at the interactive stations, and have their photos taken at a Robi-themed photo booth. Second Generation Of Cryo-Lipolysis – Latest Consumer Trend In Non-Invasive Body Contouring

The arrival of the latest body contouring technique, known as the second generation of Cryo-Lipolysis by Zimmer Aesthetics caused a stir at its launch recently. Utilizing German-engineered technology, the second generation of Cryo-Lipolysis combines Z Lipo (Cryo-Lipolysis) with Z WavePro (US FDA-approved Shockwave). From the original experts of cold therapy, Zimmer’s products ensure shorter treatment durations and faster results for everyone.

For those who would rather achieve their body goals the natural way, the second generation of Cryo-Lipolysis promises to aid them in attaining their dream figure. At the launch, Dr. Pablo Naranjo, Medical Director of Elite Laser Clinic provided an explanation on how this new technology works.

Cryo-Lipolysis received the European Union CE Mark approval in 2009 for non-invasive fat reduction, and since then has become popular with an increasing number of treatments conducted every year worldwide. One main reason for this development is the high demand by patients for non-surgical alternatives to liposuction.

Cryo-Lipolysis is a fat-freezing procedure which is considered an effective method for reducing fat that causes slight discomfort and no known severe side effects. When this technology is applied on selected patients and combined appropriately with other treatments, one can obtain a higher level of patient satisfaction.

According to a clinical study done by Dr. Michael Ingargiola, a plastic surgeon with over 20 published articles, this treatment generates an average of 20 percent of localised superficial fat tissue layer reduction after several months, while the triglycerides (fatty acids and glycerol) are eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system and then processed by the liver.

Localised fat deposits on arms, hips, abdomen, buttocks or thighs can be treated. The treatment is effective and safe with the emphasis of using harmless temperature levels to chill fat cells, ensuring that the surrounding tissues are unharmed.

There are hard to reach areas or fat-intensive areas that not even exercise can act on. The combination of the 2nd generation Cryo-Lipolysis by Zimmer Z Lipo and Z WavePro are two innovative aesthetic machines designed for fat freezing and body contouring in cellulite treatment.

An award-winning product of the year in 2016, Z Lipo is an extremely versatile device that comes with three different applicators (small, medium and large) which are optimised to fit different body shapes and sizes. It targets fat deposits and chills them down in a controlled manner over a prolonged period, leading to the destruction of fat cells. Dead fat cells will be removed naturally through the lymphatic system which takes about 10 to 12 weeks.

This non-invasive treatment targets only fat cells and eliminates them permanently, with each 60-minute session, and it is safe and suitable for treating any targeted area optimally. The use of pulsating suction increases the positive effect on lymphatic drainage and metabolism, and the intensity can be set to one of ten different levels that can even be adjusted during treatment. To avoid damage to the skin, a special gel pad is placed on the treatment area during the process. Target areas consist of love handles, muffin tops, belly, buttocks, arms and thighs (inner and outer).

From a medical point of view, cellulite is not a serious condition, but it represents the most widespread and least tolerated aesthetic complaint among women. The US FDA-Approved Z WavePro system uses radial shockwave to tighten the connective tissue which improves skin firmness, elasticity and collagen regeneration on the abdomen and upper arm, as well as cellulite on the legs and buttocks.

The high energy radial shockwaves consist of two different parts – positive pressure pulse and a comparatively small tensile wave component. The shockwave squeezes surrounding tissue and breaks the grid structure of the molecules. The tensile wave leads to a collapse of gas bubbles within the fat structures (cavitation), which re-expand after the high energy radial shockwaves, thus ensuring a destabilisation of fat structures.

The Z WavePro transmits the radial shockwaves directly and with high precision into the tissue, thanks to its 39 mm applicator head. Using Radial Pulse Therapy, it delivers comfortable pulses consistently, replacing the need for manual painful vigorous massage in many cryogenic lipolysis protocols.

Studies carried out in 2013 have shown that a shockwave treatment directly after Cryo-Lipolysis by Zimmer Z Lipo and subsequent shockwave treatments once a week for four weeks can almost double the treatment effects in regards to fat reduction. By combining Z Lipo and Z WavePro together using the technology of Cryo-Lipolysis and radial shockwave, the results of fat reduction are significant.

Chewies Catat Rekod Dalam Malaysia Book of Records di Sunway Lagoon

Pada Sabtu 11 March 2017 baru-baru ini, mama dan keluarga telah menyertai satu acara terbesar Chewies untuk mencipta rekod Malaysia Book of Records dalam penyertaan "Paling Ramai Bagi Sesi Pengambilan Pastil Penggalak Imuniti" di Sunway Lagoon. Untuk melaksanakan rekod ini, pihak Chewies telah meminta kanak-kanak yang mewakili lebih dari 30 buah sekolah rendah di Lembah Klang untuk mengambil suplemen pada hari berkenaan.

Seawal pagi mama dan keluarga telah berada di sana untuk memeriahkan majlis tersebut. Anak-anak mama sangat gembira dan excited sebab nak pergi Sunway Lagoon. Sesampai sana kami terus pergi ke Sunway Amphitheatre untuk majlis berkenaan. Seramai 1800 kanak-kanak bersama ibu bapa dan guru berkumpul di Sunway Amphitheatre dengan gembira dan mengunyah pastil yang enak untuk menyertai Malaysia Book of Records.

Acara dimulakan dengan kehadiran maskot Chewies iaitu Superman serta maskot Lion.

Kemudian acara yang paling kanak-kanak teruja adalah acara magic clown dan game show. Acara dari magic clown sangat menghiburkan membuatkan kanak-kanak di sini bersorak gembira serta semangat untuk mereka mengambil bahagian dalam game dari magic clown tersebut.

CEO AJ Research & Pharma (AJRP) Sdn Bhd, Javed Ghulam Muhammad berkata, "kanak-kanak berkenaan yang berusia di antara lima hingga 12 tahun dan mereka gembira untuk mengambil bahagian dalam cubaan mencipta rekod ini memandangkan pastil Chewies Immunolicious sememangnya enak serta meningkatkan sistem imun.

Tambahnya lagi, "cubaan Malaysia Boon of Records ini merupakan satu cara kami untuk mendidik ibu bapa mengenai cara melindungi anak-anak dan diri mereka daripada kuman dengan membina sistem imun yang kuat kerana ia lebih baik mengukuhkan pertahanan pertama tubuh mereka daripada merawatnya ketika sakit.
